Assignment Overview

This role is for a Registered Nurse specialized in the Emergency Room, responsible for providing care across various age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The ideal candidate should possess strong skills in handling emergency cases and be comfortable working night shifts.

Assignment Details

• Shift Details: 12H Nights, 19:00 - 07:00
• Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2214 (negotiable)
• Number of Weekend Shifts Per Contract: As needed and agreed upon
• Charting System: MediTech
• Medication System: Pyxis
• Communication System: Vocera
• Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Patient Diagnoses: All types related to ED presentation
• Special Procedures/Unit Details: All standard ED procedures

Responsibilities

• Administer general emergency department care for combined adult/pediatric cases
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• Administer blood products
• Provide central line care and management
• Perform phlebotomy and start IVs
• Administer continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressors
• Conduct procedural sedation administration
• Handle cases such as CVA, ortho-trauma, head injury, and near drowning
• Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Enforce isolation precautions

Qualifications

Required:

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• 1 year of experience in Emergency Room setting
• Proficiency with general emergency department care, dysrhythmia management, and IV procedures

Preferred:

• Experience with the MediTech charting system
• Additional certifications: NIHSS, TNCC
