Registered Nurse (RN) | Travel | MedSurg | Location: Illinois

Assignment Overview

This travel assignment is for a Registered Nurse specializing in MedSurg care. The role is located in an acute care setting in Illinois, focused on managing patients with respiratory failure, post-surgical needs, wound care, IV antibiotics, and more. Ideal candidates will have experience with PEG tube care and tracheostomy patients.

Assignment Details

Start Date: Not provided
Shift Details: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with a weekend requirement every other weekend
Assignment Length: Not provided
Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2538 (negotiable)
Local Candidate Policy: Applies to clinicians within 50 miles (rate adjustment applicable)
Charting System: EPIC

Responsibilities

Provide care for patients with respiratory failure, post-surgical needs, wound care, IV antibiotics, and cardiac issues
Manage PEG tubes, CVC/PICC/Midline lines, and tracheostomy care
Titrate drips, including Heparin
Collaborate with the house supervisor and other healthcare professionals
Monitor patient telemetry

Qualifications

Required:

Active IL RN license or confirmation of application process
BLS certification
Experience with PEG tube care, CVC/PICC/Midline usage, tracheostomy patients
Ability to titrate drips

Preferred:

ACLS certification
