Assignment Overview

Seeking an experienced RN specializing in cardiovascular intensive care for a travel assignment in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have strong assessment and critical thinking skills, with the ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment. Experience with post-open heart surgical patients and titratable drips is essential.

Shift Details: 12hr nights (7p-7a), every other weekend required
Assignment Length: Not specified
Estimated gross weekly pay package: $3078 (negotiable)
Charting System: EPIC

Responsibilities

Care for post-open heart surgical patients and other cardiovascular procedures
Administer and titrate various drips such as dopamine, dobutamine, and vasopressin
Read and interpret cardiac monitor strips
Utilize specialized equipment including IABPs, Impellas, and CRRT
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals
Maintain strong communication and organizational skills

Qualifications

Required:

BLS (AHA) certification
At least 2 years of solid CVICU experience
Ability to work at a fast pace and manage stress effectively
Strong critical thinking and assessment skills

Preferred:

ACLS certification
CCRN certification is a plus
