Registered Nurse (RN) | RN - ICU | Location Not Provided

Assignment Overview

This position is for an ICU Registered Nurse specializing in cardiovascular intensive care. The ideal candidate will have expertise in handling post-cardiac surgery and high-acuity cardiac patients. Experience in fast-paced, high-stress environments is required.

Assignment Details

Shift: 12-hour days (7a-7p) or 12-hour nights (7p-7a), every other weekend required
Estimated gross weekly pay package: $3078 (negotiable)
Charting System: EPIC
Patient Ratios: 1:1, 1:2, 2:1 depending on acuity
Floating Requirements: Float to every level of care, travelers expected to take a full team
Scrub Color/Dress Code: No specific color, must be appropriate and clean

Responsibilities

Care for post-open heart surgery patients and other high-acuity cardiac patients
Operate specialized cardiovascular equipment
Titrate various medication drips per protocol
Interpret and monitor cardiac rhythms
Provide comprehensive assessment and care for ventilated patients

Qualifications

Required:

Minimum of 2 years solid CVICU experience
BLS certification (AHA)
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment

Preferred:

ACLS certification, CCRN a plus
