Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and State laws/practice act.
• Document according to standards of care.
• Develop, initiate, and execute a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, including patient and family instruction.
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, potentially including shared governance.
• Utilize clinical expertise to provide guidance to other units/departments in support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care.
• Apply critical thinking concerning patient safety and patient experience, escalating appropriately through the chain of command.

Qualifications

Required:

• Current NIHSS certification
• Wisconsin RN License
• CPR/BLS certification
• Education Verification
