Respiratory Therapist | Libertyville, IL

Assignment Overview

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in Libertyville, IL. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a full lifespan of patients, including pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. The role involves providing respiratory therapy services in a Level 1 Trauma Center with a variety of patient types, including neonates and geriatric patients.

Assignment Details

Facility Type: Level 1 Trauma Center
Weekly Pay: Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2484 (negotiable)
Location: Libertyville, IL
Shift Details: 3x12 hour shifts, days
Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
Charting System: EPIC
Orientation: 1 day on the unit

Responsibilities

Perform tracheostomy care and nitrous oxide procedures
Practice proning techniques and critical care experience
Manage ventilator associated pneumonia prevention
Conduct spontaneous breathing trials and arterial blood gas draws

Qualifications

Required:

2 years' experience with full lifespan of patients
Active IL license
Active BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
Experience with charting system EPIC
Skills in Trachs, nitrous oxide procedures, proning techniques, ECMO, critical care
