RN (Registered Nurse), RN-ICU | Location Unknown
Assignment Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Neuro ICU team. This unit requires nurses with strong critical care skills and experience in managing complex patients, such as those with strokes, craniectomy, and ventriculostomy. The ideal candidate should be adept at titrating drips and familiar with ventilators, arterial lines, and acute stroke management.
Assignment Details
- Unit: Neuro ICU
- Number of Beds: 18
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:2
- Shift: 12-hour shifts
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Rotating every other holiday
- Floating Requirement: Float to any unit including intermediate and general floors
- Charting System: EPIC
- Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2700 (negotiable)
Responsibilities
- Manage and care for patients with ventriculostomy, strokes, and craniotomies
- Titrate and manage various drips as per physician orders
- Read and interpret telemetry strips using Phillips monitors
- Perform troubleshooting for RT Equipment including vents and high-flow oxygen devices
Qualifications
Required:
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Active IL license or confirmation of application process
- Experience with ventriculostomy, ventilators, arterial and central lines
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification
Preferred:
- Experience in Neuro ICU or similar critical care settings
