Assignment Overview

We are seeking an experienced RN for our Step-Down ICU and ICU units in Rockford, IL. Ideal candidates will have strong ICU experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center and be willing to float down to Step-Down ICU as needed.

Assignment Details

• Shift: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2700 (negotiable)
• Position Urgency: Quick Start

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and state laws/practice act
• Document according to standards of care
• Develop, initiate, and execute a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by Physician and/or hospital policy, including patient and family instruction
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, may include shared governance
• Utilize clinical expertise to guide other units/departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care
• Utilize critical thinking in regards to patient safety and patient experience and appropriately escalate to the appropriate chain of command

Qualifications

Required:

• Current IL License
• CPR, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification required
• Strong ICU experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center
