Registered Nurse - PCU | Travel | Elkhart, IN
Assignment Overview
Join a dedicated team as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), providing high-quality care to adult patients with cardiac conditions. The ideal candidate will possess experience in telemetry and cardiac medication administration and infusion within a high-acuity setting.
Assignment Details
- Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend required
- Patient Ratio: 1:4
- Assignment Length: Until 12/31, with the possibility to extend
- Local Candidates: Must reside more than 50 miles away
- Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2268 (negotiable)
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to cardiac patients in a 30-bed step-down unit
- Administer and manage cardiac medications, including Cardizem, amiodarone, and dobutamine
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 1 year of related experience
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- Experience with telemetry and infusion therapy
- Ability to manage cardiac drips without titration
- Active state nursing license (or pending at submission)
Preferred:
- Previous charge nurse experience
- Cerner charting system experience
- Travel nursing experience
