Registered Nurse - Oncology Chemo Certified | Location: Valparaiso, IN and Crown Point, IN
Assignment Overview
We are seeking a Registered Nurse specialized in oncology with chemotherapy certification for a clinic-based role. The ideal candidate will possess experience in patient management and chemotherapy administration. This position involves rotations between two locations in Valparaiso and Crown Point, Indiana.
Assignment Details
- Shift Times: Main 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Rotating 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Locations: Valparaiso, IN and Crown Point, IN
- Charting System: Epic
- Patient Ratios: Day - 5:1
- Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2704.8 (negotiable)
Responsibilities
- Administer and manage chemotherapy treatments
- Provide patient and family education and support
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team
- Handle body fluids post-chemotherapy
- Conduct phlebotomy and manage care for ports and lines
Qualifications
Required:
- Valid IL RN license
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, Chemo (ONS/ONCC)
- Experience with charting systems, preferably Epic
- Two years of nursing experience
- Experience with accessing and managing ports and chemotherapy administration
