RN (Registered Nurse) | RN-Medsu | Peru, IL

Assignment Overview

Seeking a dedicated RN with expertise in Med Surg for an acute care setting. Ideal candidates will effectively manage patient care within diverse medical conditions and coordinate with a supportive team.

Assignment Details

Shift: 12-hour shifts, 0700-1930 and 1900-0730
Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
Holiday Requirements: Rotation; includes Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day. Specific eve requirements apply.
Floating Requirements: Potential to float to ICU or Ottawa Campus (25 miles from Peru) for general acute overflow patients
Charting System: EPIC
Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2538 (negotiable)

Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care for patients with medical acute conditions, such as pneumonia and heart failure
Collaborate with patient care technicians (PCTs) to ensure standard care practices, including foley care and CHG bathing
Monitor tele strips with virtual central telemetry support

Qualifications

Required:

Active IL license or licensure application in progress
Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
Adherence to a Drug-Free Campus policy with negative drug screening

Preferred:

At least 2 years of prior experience
Previous travel experience
PALS certification
