Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical | Travel |

Assignment Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join the Medical Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience and be adept in providing high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients. Responsibilities include managing patient ratios, weekend work, and floating as needed.

Assignment Details

Estimated gross weekly pay package: $1772.82 (negotiable)
Ratios: 1:6
Shift: 3x12 Days
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Floating Requirement: Yes
Charting System: Epic

Responsibilities

Manage patient care for medical surgical patients
Administer medications and treatments per protocols
Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams including Physical Therapy and Respiratory Services
Provide comprehensive tracheostomy care
Respond to patient emergencies using Rapid Response/Code teams

Qualifications

Required:

Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role
Valid IL RN license
Certifications: BLS, ACLS
Experience with Epic charting system
Skills in BiPAP/CPAP management, wound care, isolation precautions, and IV management

Preferred:

Certifications: NIHSS
