Assignment Overview

The Registered Nurse in this role will coordinate nursing care for patients in the Emergency Department, catering to pediatric through geriatric patients. The ideal candidate will perform direct patient care and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Assignment Details

• Shift Details: Nights 7p-7a, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
• Assignment Type: Full-Time
• Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2430 (negotiable)

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate all levels of patient care.
• Perform age-appropriate assessments and provide care for all ages.
• Conduct triage using the Emergency Severity Index (ESI) 5 level triage process.
• Document and maintain an ED record of nursing care provided.
• Coordinate care needs of multiple patients, prioritizing and ensuring efficient patient flow.
• Communicate patient needs effectively with the care team and advocate for patients.
• Participate in professional development and complete required education and audits.
• Monitor life support equipment, perform treatments, administer medications, and emergency protocols.
• Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring all checklists are completed.
• Participate in educational experiences for emergency providers and students.
• Demonstrate proficiency in computerized patient documentation.

Qualifications

Required:

• Two-year degree in nursing.
• Wisconsin Registered Nursing license or active Compact Licensure.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications.
• 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.

Preferred:

• Four-year degree in nursing.
• ATCN certification.
