Assignment Overview

We are seeking an experienced RN Med Surg professional for a Float Pool position in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years Med Surg experience and be comfortable working across various units, including ER Holding/Boarding. The role involves providing care to a diverse patient population, including general medical, surgical, orthopedics, neurology, and cardiac patients.

Assignment Details

• Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2268 (negotiable)
• Position involves float pool responsibilities, requiring flexibility across multiple units
• Shifts: 1845-0715, 0645-1915
• Weekend rotation: every other weekend
• Facility has a supportive and traveler-friendly culture with strong teamwork
• Orientation includes a full shift of paperwork and system access, with further on-unit training

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care across various units, including medical, surgical, orthopedics, and neurology
• Float frequently to diverse units, including ER Holding/Boarding
• Provide specialized care such as cardiac rhythm interpretation and drip titration (Cardizem and amiodarone)
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including RT, OT, PT, and hospitalists

Qualifications

Required:

• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Experience with EPIC charting system
• Proficiency in chest tubes, trach management, IV skills, and central line care
