Assignment Overview

We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) care for a travel assignment in Lexington, NC. This role involves working in a 16-bed ICU and caring for patients with critical conditions such as ARDS, sepsis, COPD, DKA, and strokes. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of ICU experience and will be comfortable working in a unit with a daily census average of 10 patients.

• Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2160 (negotiable)
• Floating: Med Surg with 4:1 ratio, ED as a resource (no assignment)
• Charting System: EPIC

Responsibilities

• Manage arterial lines and vasoactive medications
• Vent management and weaning, with Respiratory Therapy support
• Manage chest tubes and utilize critical thinking skills in patient care
• Assist with daily living activities and patient transport

Qualifications

Required:

• 2 years of ICU experience
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Skills in art line management, vasoactive medication titration, vent management and weaning, chest tube management, and critical thinking
