Assignment Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a MedSurg/Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing high acuity patients, specializing in conditions such as spinal surgeries and neurological issues. This role is part of a resource team and requires adaptability to float within a regional network.

Assignment Details

• Start Date: Not provided
• Shift Details: 7a-7p and 7p-7a, every other weekend rotation
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2160 (negotiable)
• Charting System: EPIC
• Local Candidate Policy: Traveler s permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit
• Orientation: NEO, 2 days departmental

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients with various neurological and surgical conditions
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage medication drips
• Perform post-operative care for neuro and spine patients
• Administer pain management interventions, including opioids
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care procedures

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum 2 years Med/Tele RN experience
• Experience with stroke care, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and post-op neuro/spine care
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications

Preferred:

• Willingness to float to various units and facilities within region as needed
