Assignment Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit. This role involves providing critical care to patients with complex trauma, strokes, burns, and other acute conditions. The ideal candidate is proficient in ventilator management and medication titration, with experience in ICU settings.

Assignment Details

Start Date: Not provided
Location: Not provided
Shift Details: 12-hour shifts, 7a-7:30p or 7p-7:30a
Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
Holiday Requirements: Every other holiday
Floating Requirements: May float throughout the facility except ER & OB; capped at 1:4 ratio in MedSurg
Charting System: EPIC
Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2700 (negotiable)

Responsibilities

Manage and titrate all common ICU drips
Provide care for patients with complex trauma and critical conditions
Operate within nurse: patient ratios of 1:2-3
Collaborate with a 24/7 charge nurse and support staff
Read EKG rhythms and assess for necessary interventions

Qualifications

Required:

Active IL license or confirmation of application
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
Experience with ventilator management and medication titration
Comfort with arterial and central lines

Preferred:

Experience with CRRT and EVD/ICP
Additional certifications: PALS
