Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Cath Lab | Travel | IL

Assignment Overview

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Cath Lab in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have experience with trach care, Bipap, stroke, and IV titration, and will be expected to provide high-quality care to a diverse patient population. A strong understanding of common diagnoses like stroke, cardiac issues, sepsis, and surgical needs is essential.

Assignment Details

Unit: Intermediate Care - 3S
Shift: 12-hour nights (7p-7:30a)
Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2565 (negotiable)
Travelers expected in weekend rotation as per unit needs
Floating within the facility excluding ER & OB
Charting System: EPIC

Responsibilities

Provide care to patients with varying acuity levels, primarily focusing on cardiac and stroke patients
Titrate medications such as heparin, nitro, and cardizem according to unit standards
Interpret cardiac rhythm and telemetry strips
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including RNs, CNAs, and monitor techs

Qualifications

Required:

Active IL RN License or initiation of application process
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Experience with trach care, Bipap, and stroke patients
