Registered Nurse (RN) - IMCU | Travel | IL

Assignment Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) focused on providing acute care. The ideal candidate will have experience in IMCU settings, handling tasks such as trach care, BiPAP management, and IV titration. The role requires an adaptable nurse comfortable with rotating through the unit.

Assignment Details

Facility Type: Acute Care
Shift Details: 12-hour Night Shifts (7p-7:30a)
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2565 (negotiable)
Charting System: EPIC
Number of Beds: 23
Nurse:Patient Ratio: 1:3-4
Floating Requirements: Expected to float throughout the house excluding ER & OB
Scrub Color: Any professional color; scrubs not provided

Responsibilities

Provide direct care to patients with stroke, cardiac, sepsis, and surgical diagnoses
Administer and titrate medications such as Heparin, Nitro, and Cardizem
Interpret cardiac rhythms and monitor strips
Coordinate with charge nurses and CNAs to provide comprehensive patient care
Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as required

Qualifications

Required:

Active IL license or proof of application
Experience with trach care, BiPAP, and IV titration
Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (AHA only)
Ability to pass a drug screening test
