Registered Nurse - PCU | Travel | Lake Forest, IL

Assignment Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a dynamic travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, providing care to adult and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

Access and manage ports
Manage BiPAP/CPAP
Administer blood products
Monitor cardiac telemetry
Care for central lines
Perform continuous bladder irrigation (CBI)
Manage feeding tubes
Follow heparin protocols
Care for intratracheal bleeds
Follow isolation precautions/PPE
Manage cardiac drips without titration
Provide oxygen administration and management
Handle pacemakers and temporary/permanent devices
Perform wound care and manage wound vacs

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license
Basic Life Support (BLS), ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
2 years of experience in a similar unit
Travel experience required
Illinois license in hand
