RN (Registered Nurse) - Med Surg, Travel Assignment | RN-Medsu | Peru, IL

Assignment Overview

Join our dedicated Med Surg team to provide essential medical care in an acute setting. Ideal candidates will have recent experience in similar care settings, focusing on teamwork and communication.

Assignment Details

Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2538 (negotiable)
Start Date: Not provided
Shift Details: 12-hour nights, 1900-0730
Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
Holiday Rotation: Required
Floating Requirements: May float to ICU for general acute overflow or to Ottawa Campus (25 miles from Peru) based on need
Number of Openings: Not provided
Charting System: EPIC

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care for medical acute cases including pneumonia, heart failure, and surgical procedures
Monitor patient progress and collaborate with PCT for care plans
Ensure adherence to high standards of care in coordination with house supervisors and charge nurses

Qualifications

Required:

Active IL license or application process initiated
Negative drug screening for all panels
BLS, ACLS certifications (AHA)
Experience in monitoring telemetry strips

Preferred:

PALS certification
At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
Previous travel nursing experience
