Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for practice in Kentucky
- Clinical experience in a Progressive Care Unit / step-down setting
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and maintain a 36-hour weekly schedule
- Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred
- Available for the full 13-week assignment (01/05/2026–04/06/2026)
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care and continuous assessment for progressive-care/step-down patients
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per orders and unit protocols
- Monitor patient condition using telemetry and other monitoring equipment, and intervene as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, multidisciplinary team members, and support staff to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record and communicate changes in condition to appropriate personnel
- Respond to emergencies, follow hospital policies, and participate in handoffs and shift reports

Job Description
This is a 13-week travel Registered Nurse assignment in a Progressive Care Unit in Bowling Green, KY, starting 01/05/2026 and ending 04/06/2026. Two RN positions are available on the night shift (19:00–07:00) averaging 36 hours per week. The role involves caring for intermediate-acuity patients, managing medications and monitoring (including telemetry), communicating closely with the interdisciplinary team, and maintaining complete documentation. The pay package includes an estimated taxable hourly rate of $19.55 plus a weekly stipend of $1,246.00. Travel RNs should be licensed in Kentucky, have PCU experience, current BLS (ACLS preferred), and be available for the full duration of the contract.
