Requirements
- Radiologic Technologist certification (Rad Tech)
- Experience in interventional/procedural radiology
- Critical care or procedural area experience
- Experience with moderate sedation
- BLS and ACLS required
- PALS and Meditech experience preferred
- Outgoing, team-oriented, self-starter with a positive attitude
Responsibilities
- Provide technologist support for a variety of interventional radiology procedures including biopsies, drain insertions, angiograms/peripheral vascular studies, paracenteses/thoracentesis, and line placements
- Prepare and operate imaging equipment (Discovery 740 IGS) and assist with procedure set-up and patient monitoring during moderate sedation
- Support other imaging needs as requested (CT coronary, MRI monitoring, myelograms) and document care using Meditech EMR
- Participate in department call rotation (1–2 nights of call per week) and weekend call approximately one in every 4–5 weekends
- Work collaboratively with nurses, schedulers/coordinators, and the IR team to maintain workflow and patient safety

Job Description
This travel Radiologic Technologist position supports an interventional radiology service in Richmond, VA. The role is a technologist (not an RN) focused on procedural imaging support across a range of IR cases, operating a Discovery 740 IGS system and using Meditech for documentation. Typical duties include preparing rooms and patients, assisting with biopsies, drain insertions, angiograms, paracenteses/thoracentesis, line placements, and providing imaging assistance for related CT/MRI procedures. The schedule is a day shift of 07:00–17:30 with participation in night and weekend call as required. Required credentials include Rad Tech certification, BLS and ACLS, and experience with procedural or critical care settings; PALS and familiarity with Meditech are preferred.
