Requirements
Active RRT credential and state respiratory therapist license
Minimum 1 year of pediatric/ED or pediatric critical care respiratory therapy experience preferred (pediatric critical care skills required/preferred per unit)
Current BLS certification required
Ability to pass background screening

Responsibilities
Provide direct respiratory care to pediatric patients in the Emergency Department
Administer respiratory treatments and manage ventilators and noninvasive ventilation
Perform bronchiolitis scoring and respond to respiratory arrest situations
Monitor and document patient conditions in EMR (Meditech)
Coordinate with LPNs and CNAs and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team

Wise Medical Staffing is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for contract opportunities in Dallas, TX. This role is based in a pediatric Emergency Department at Medical City Dallas (7777 Forest Lane, 3rd floor, Building E, Dallas, TX 75230). The unit is a 15-bed Pediatric ED (Pediatric ED / 75409) with typical staffing of 1 therapist for the pediatric ED. EMR: Meditech. On-call requirement: no. Floating requirement: yes — pediatric spaces. Ideal candidates are dependable, clinically confident, and committed to delivering compassionate pediatric respiratory care; pediatric critical care experience is highly desired.
