Description
Are you a Dental Assistant in the State of Tennessee looking for a FRESH START? If so, we can help YOU! Cell Staff is a nationwide healthcare staffing company that has partnered with the Tennessee Department of Health to help them find an AMAZING dental assistant. We're looking for you to become a valuable part of the team.
Dental Assistant Details
- On-site position at the Jackson County Health Department in Cookeville, TN
- Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm CST
- 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week
- 12-month contract, renewable
- Regional travel may be required
Dental Assistant Duties
- Assist dentist using 4-handed technique during patient treatment
- Disinfect operatory and sterilize instruments between every patient
- Expose and prepare x-rays in compliance with infection control and safety guidelines
- Manage and maintain dental equipment and supplies including autoclave, ultrasonic cleaner, and dental unit water lines
- Complete patient dental health records (electronic and paper)
- Provide post-treatment instructions and patient education
- Support daily productivity goals in alignment with TDH Model Dental Clinic guidelines
Dental Assistant Qualifications
- Current registration as a dental assistant in the State of Tennessee with Dental Radiology Certification
- Current CPR certification required
- Valid driver's license required
- Coronal polishing, nitrous oxide monitoring, and dental sealant placement certifications preferred
- Must be a current Tennessee resident or willing to relocate prior to start
