Registered Nurse Details

Full time schedule, 11.5 hr shifts, 7 days on, 7 days off
Night shift — 8:00 pm to 7:30 am
13-week contract with option to extend
Start date: July 27, 2026
Location: Fairbanks, Alaska
Fast-paced environment — Northern Alaska's primary intake and classification facility

Registered Nurse Duties

Work as a member of the correctional medical staff to provide care to patients
Follow direction of Provider to ensure care is provided in a timely manner
Med pass, wound care, and triage
Intake assessments for a high-volume intake and classification facility serving Northern Alaska
Manage competing priorities in a fast-moving corrections environment

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Alaska RN license (or actively pursuing)
Current BLS (American Heart Association)
Minimum 1 year of experience working as an RN
Prior experience working in corrections health is preferred
Comfortable and confident working at a high pace — this is not a slow-paced posting
Must be able to clear a State of Alaska background check
