Description

Position/Specialty: Respiratory Therapist

Years of Experience Req: 2 year

Weekend Requirement: Every other; may change as needed

Shift: 7p-7:30a

RTO, Block & Special Scheduling Requests: ALL requests must be included with the submission. Requests will only be accommodated if approved by the facility at the time of booking.

Call off Policy: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.

Accept First-Time Travelers: Yes

Locals Accepted? Radius Rule: Yes. Refer to the Submittal Instructions for radius rule criteria.

Pending License Accepted? No. Must have an active RRT SC in hand

Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS

Patient Population: Adults/Geriatrics

Summary of Required Skills: Must be proficient in Adult Critical Care Work settings, Extubation, Nasal airway placements, suctioning, oral airway placement, oral suctioning, pulmonary hygiene, sputum specimen collection, tracheostomy care. Must be experienced with administering albuterol, Atrovent, combivent, flovent, inhaled steroids, ispurel, lidocaine, perforomist, pulmicort, racemic epinephrine, spiriva, terbutaline sulfate, tobramycin, xopenex. Must be experienced in delivering medication through aerosol set up mask, aerosol set up trach, Medihaler, Metered Dos inhaler. Must have experience with Hand held, T-piece and Trach collar nebulizers.
Must have experience with high flow nasal cannula and trach collar oxygen therapy. Must have experience with BiPaP, CPAP, Troubleshooting high pressure alarms, and weaning from mechanical ventilation.

Experience Required: Must have Trauma Level 1 experience

Floating: While Prisma Health prioritizes keeping staff in their home unit, agency staff are required to float to other units or campuses as needed. Floating is limited to areas where staff are qualified and have documented competencies.

Charting: 1 yr of EPIC experience required
Navitas Healthcare Job ID #26-11122. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 48.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
