Unit: Oncology Pod – Emergency Department
Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: Aug 24, 2026
Local Hourly Pay: $57/hr to $61/hr
Travel Pay breakdown:-
Taxable w2: $30/hr
Stipend: $1,246/week
Weekly Gross: $2,326/week
Blended Pay: $64.61/hr

Job Overview
Seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join its specialized Oncology Pod, one of the few dedicated oncology emergency care units in the country. This fast-paced, high-acuity environment provides emergency care to cancer patients with complex medical needs while maintaining the standards of a busy emergency department.
Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care to adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients.
Assess, prioritize, and manage patients in a high-acuity emergency setting.
Administer emergency medications, blood products, IV vasopressors, and IV therapy.
Perform IV starts, phlebotomy, central line care, and cardiac monitoring.
Interpret dysrhythmias, obtain and interpret 12-lead ECGs, and assist with ventilated patients and BiPAP/CPAP management.
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to provide timely, patient-centered care.
Float to other units as required based on staffing needs.
Accurately document patient care using Epic electronic medical records.
Requirements
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience.
At least 1 year of travel nursing experience is required (hard stop).
Current acute care ED experience within the past 12 months.
Epic EMR experience required.
Oncology emergency experience preferred but not required.
Required Certifications
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
