Shift: Day Shift, 3x12 Hours (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Summary
Providence Health and Services is seeking an experienced Travel Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray Tech) to join the Diagnostic Imaging team.
The technologist will perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic examinations for adult and geriatric patients in acute care, outpatient,
and bedside/portable settings. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, patient-centered care, radiation safety practices,
and the ability to perform a wide range of routine and trauma imaging procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations following physician orders and departmental protocols.
Provide safe, efficient, and compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients.
Perform bedside and portable imaging procedures for patients unable to travel to Radiology.
Operate imaging equipment while maintaining proper positioning, exposure techniques, and image quality.
Review images for technical accuracy and ensure appropriate documentation.
Utilize PACS for image processing, review, and workflow management.
Maintain radiation safety standards for patients, staff, and self.
Follow isolation precautions and appropriate PPE requirements.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to support patient care.
Provide imaging support in urgent and trauma situations as needed.
Required Qualifications
Active ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT R) certification.
Current BLS certification.
Minimum 1 year of recent X-Ray Technologist experience.
Experience performing diagnostic radiographic exams in acute care and outpatient environments.
Proficiency with electronic imaging systems and PACS.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
