Travel/Local Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER) | Lansing, MI

Schedule: 3x12 hours | 36 hours/week
Weekend: 3 weekends per 4-week schedule
On-Call: No
Floating: Yes – Peds ED may be required
Local Candidates: Accepted at same pay
Travel Experience: Preferred; first-time travelers accepted

Compensation for 36 hours

- Weekly Gross Pay: Up to $2,455/week
- Taxable Pay: Approximately $1,188/week ($33/hour)
- Housing & Meal Stipend: Approximately $1,267/week
- Estimated Blended Rate: Approximately $68/hour

Call: $10/hour, if applicable

Job Highlights
• Level I Trauma Center
• Stroke Center and Heart Center
• Pediatric Emergency Department
• Approximately 250 daily visits
• 100-bed Emergency Department
• Adult and pediatric patient population
• Patient ratios approximately 1:5–6, with ratios potentially reaching 1:8 based on volume
• High-acuity emergency care including trauma, neuro, cardiac, pediatrics and high-risk OB
• 5-level triage system
• Strong interdisciplinary support
• First-time travelers may be considered with strong qualifying experience

Requirements
• Minimum 2 years of recent ER/RN experience
• Level I Trauma experience required
• EPIC experience required
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Triage experience preferred
• Continuous IV sedation experience preferred
• Procedural sedation experience preferred
• Must be comfortable caring for adult and pediatric patients
• Must be willing to float to Pediatric ED when needed
• Must acknowledge high patient ratios

Required Certifications
• ACLS
• BLS/BCLS – AHA
• PALS
• TNCC
• NIH/NIHSS
• ENPC preferred

Important Requirements
• Michigan RN license must be active by start date
• Compact license is not accepted for Michigan
• RTO must be submitted at the time of submission
• Maximum RTO: 5 days
• No RTO allowed: October 31 and December 18–28
• Must be available to work 3 weekends per 4-week schedule
• Modules must be completed before working on the unit
• Modules are non-billable; approximately 5 hours should be expected
• EPIC experience is required for this position

Ideal Candidate: ER RN with 2+ years of experience, Level I Trauma experience, EPIC, ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC and NIH, who is comfortable with high patient ratios, pediatric patients and weekend requirements.
