Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Critical Care
Location: Brockton, Massachusetts
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights, 3x12-Hour Shifts
Schedule: 36 Hours per Week, Every Other Weekend, Every Other Holiday
Position Type: Travel/Contract
Local Hourly Pay: $68/hr to $72/hr
Travel Weekly Gross: $2,400/week to $2,600/week

Position Summary
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join its critical care team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in trauma and critical care settings, strong ventilator management skills, and the ability to independently make respiratory care decisions based on patient assessment and diagnostic findings.

Responsibilities
Assess, treat, and monitor patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary disorders.
Manage and adjust mechanical ventilation according to patient condition and laboratory results.
Participate as an active member of the Code Blue response team.
Perform respiratory assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans.
Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and make clinical recommendations.
Administer respiratory therapies and medications.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Document patient care accurately according to facility standards.

Qualifications
Active Massachusetts Respiratory Care License.
NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Credential.
Current BLS Certification.
Current NRP Certification.
Minimum 4 years of recent Respiratory Therapy experience.
Recent experience in a Level II or Level III Trauma Center.
Recent critical care experience in both:
Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)
Experience with lung-protective ventilation strategies.
Ability to independently make ventilator management decisions based on patient assessment and laboratory findings.
Experience participating on Code Blue teams.
