Compensation for 48 hours:
Weekly Gross Pay: $4,142/weekly
Taxable Pay: $1,056/week ($22/hour)
Housing & Meal Stipend: $3,086/week
Estimated Blended Rate: $86.2/hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) for a busy Adult ED in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will have strong emergency nursing experience, excellent telemetry interpretation skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
The RN will provide safe, efficient, and compassionate care to patients with a wide range of emergency conditions while collaborating with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Schedule & Requirements:
• 12-hour night shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 48 hours/week preferred
• 36-hour contracts may be considered
• Must work 2 weekends during each 4-week schedule period
• Every other holiday
• Must remain available through January 9, 2027
• Must be flexible to float to other emergency areas as needed
Required Experience:
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent Level I or Level II Emergency Department experience, OR
• Minimum 2 years of recent Level III or Level IV Emergency Department experience
• Strong Adult ED experience in a high-volume environment
• Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
• Ability to identify heart blocks
• Must pass a Telemetry Test on Day 1 with a score of 85% or higher
Required Certifications:
• BLS
• ACLS
• TNCC
• PALS
Preferred Qualifications:
• EPIC experience
• Previous travel nursing experience
• Critical care experience
• Previous experience working in a high-acuity emergency department
Patient Population & Ratios:
• Typical patient ratio: 1:4–5, depending on patient acuity
• High-volume Emergency Department
• Approximately 350–440 patients per day
• Up to 120 treatment areas
Additional Requirements:
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and high-acuity environment.
• Must be willing to float to the Psychiatric ED and Pediatric ED as needed.
• Pediatric ED floating may involve caring for patients age 15 and older unless the RN has previous pediatric experience.
• Travelers will not be assigned to trauma rooms during the assignment.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced Adult ED RN who is comfortable with high patient volumes, strong in telemetry interpretation, holds all required certifications, prefers night shifts, and can commit to the assignment through January 9, 2027.
