Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARYPerforms complete diagnostic imaging tests/ultrasound studies inclusive of positioning patient, calibration of equipment, and documentation of findings.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS® Performs general ultrasound.® Assists radiologist with ultrasound procedures.® Provides verbal reports to radiologist and other providers.® Other duties as assigned.EDUCATION® Graduation from an accredited Ultrasound program or equivalent required.EXPERIENCE® One (1) year hospital experience preferred.® Registered ARRT(R) preferred.® Experienced in non-invasive vascular and echocardiography exams preferred.CREDENTIALS® Must be ARDMS registered or obtain within one year of hire.® Will cross-train in Echo/Stress Echo.® Will cross-train in non-invasive vascular exams.® Must be BLS certified within 60 days of hire and must maintain certification throughout employment with IMH.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES® Excellent customer service skills, including but not limited to: a friendly personality, tact, patience, empathy and a helpful, professional attitude both in person and on the telephone.® Ability to effectively communicate with staff, managers and the general public verbally and in writing.® Demonstrate effective listening skills.® Excellent organization and time management skills and ability to establish priorities effectively.® Possess exceptional problem solving skills.® Ability to work effectively without immediate supervision.® Ability to learn new computer software programs.® Ability to recognize and protect confidential information.® Demonstrate ethical and legal accountability for the position.
