TRA RN, IV therapy
TRA is Tenet Hospital's in-house Pool where you will receive preferred contracts for greater contract security compared to outside agency.

Administers and monitors intravenous (IV) medications and fluids, which can include antibiotics, chemotherapy, and blood products.
Key responsibilities include assessing patients, inserting and managing IV lines, monitoring patient reactions, documenting care, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals. The role requires a thorough knowledge of anatomy, pharmacology, and infection control.
Core Responsibilities
Patient Assessment: Assess a patient's health status before, during, and after IV therapy.
IV Line Management: Insert and maintain peripheral, midline, and central IV lines.
Medication Administration: Prepare and administer IV fluids and medications, ensuring correct dosage and following protocols.
Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients for any adverse reactions or complications during the infusion process.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all care provided, including patient status, treatments, and responses.
Collaboration: Work with physicians, pharmacists, and other members of the care team to coordinate and deliver patient care.
Patient Education: Explain procedures to patients and their families, answer questions, and provide education on treatments and health maintenance.
Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergency situations and act according to protocol.
Key Skills and Qualifications
License and Certification: Possess a current Registered Nurse (RN) license, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Experience: Prior experience in infusion therapy is often required.
Clinical Knowledge: Have a strong understanding of anatomy, pharmacology, and infection control practices.
Interpersonal Skills: Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient and team interaction.
Time Management: Be able to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to meet patient needs.
