Job Description
Join a supportive, close-knit healthcare team as a Med/Surg Registered Nurse at a modern 25-bed Critical Access Hospital in Fredonia. In this role, you will deliver compassionate direct patient care across a diverse medical/surgical floor, collaborating closely with an experienced team of over 130 medical professionals, local EMS, and regional air transport units. Our facility offers a welcoming environment backed by comprehensive diagnostic imaging, therapy centers, and multi-specialty support.

Requirements

1–2 years of recent Med/Surg experience in an acute care setting

Active Kansas RN License or active Compact/Multi-State RN License

Active BLS Certification (AHA)

Flexibility to assist with light floor cross-coverage or floating within general medical units if needed

Strong foundational competencies in general medical/surgical patient assessment, IV therapy, and medication administration

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a Critical Access Hospital or rural community healthcare setting

Knowledge of modern EMR documentation systems

Previous travel contract experience and ACLS certification
