Travel RN Med Surg Neuro - Topeka, KS

Job Description
Join the Magnet-designated nursing team at Stormont Vail Health for a rewarding assignment on 5 North (Neuro & Behavioral Health). On this dynamic 31-bed unit, you will deliver patient-centered care to acute and subacute stroke, TIA, neurological, and general medical/surgical patients alongside a collaborative interprofessional team. Practice within a supportive high-reliability culture dedicated to continuous improvement, clinical safety, and professional excellence.

Requirements

1+ years of recent clinical experience in an acute care Med/Surg nursing setting (no first-time travelers)

Active Kansas (KS) State License or Compact/Multi-State License (unencumbered)

Active AHA BLS Certification

Floating flexibility to other inpatient Med/Surg and post-surgical units as needed

Day 1 essential clinical competencies in general medical/surgical care, acute stroke/TIA management, and Epic EHR charting (Navy Blue scrubs required)

Preferred Qualifications

Direct clinical experience handling post-stroke, TIA, or neuro-telemetry patient populations

Systems knowledge and proficiency with Epic charting (test-out option available)

Active AHA ACLS, NIHSS, or CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certifications

Level 1 Job ID #TRS---19506. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
