Description
PT License: An active, unencumbered Physical Therapist (PT) license in the applicable state, or ability to obtain one.
Education: Graduation from an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program, such as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), Master of Physical Therapy (MSPT), or Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy (BSPT) program.
Clinical Experience: Experience evaluating, treating, and managing patients with physical therapy needs, including developing individualized treatment plans.
Treatment Planning: Ability to develop, implement, and update patient plans of care and discharge plans based on clinical assessments.
Documentation: Ability to accurately and timely document evaluations, treatments, patient progress, and discharge information.
Supervision: Ability to supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and Rehab Technicians in accordance with state practice acts and facility guidelines.
Patient Care & Communication: Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Compliance: Ability to follow state/federal regulations, safety, infection control, and facility compliance standards.
