Description

Required Licenses and Certifications
COTA License: An active, unencumbered Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the applicable state, or ability to obtain one.
Education: Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA/COTA) program.
BLS / CPR: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification, if required by the facility or state.
Clinical Experience: Experience providing occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT).
Documentation: Ability to accurately and timely document patient treatments, progress, and response to therapy.
Patient Care: Ability to assist patients in developing and restoring functional independence through therapeutic activities, exercises, and daily living skills.
Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with the supervising OT, patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
