Additional Preferred Requirements
- Must have prior LVAD experience
- Critical Care or High Acuity Cardiac Experience Within Career Strongly Preferred
- Adult Acute Care NP Licensure or Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP Licensure Strongly Preferred
This position is on a Multidisciplinary Team but your focus will be on Post Heart Failure Service, LVAD and Cardiac Transplant patient population. You will be expected to do rounds, see consultations, and help facilitate care of LVAD/post cardiac transplant patients and patient education, while working collaboratively with Washington University Cardiologist.

Role Purpose
The nurse practitioner functions within their scope of practice as a healthcare provider, working in a multidisciplinary health team to provide care to patients and families across subspecialty practice settings. They demonstrate a high degree of clinical expertise with acute and chronic illnesses encountered within the inpatient and outpatient subspecialty settings. The role demonstrates an advanced level of clinical knowledge, interdisciplinary collaboration, and systems-based practice. They work with staff, nurses, physicians, and medical/surgical trainees to assure safe, effective, quality patient care.Minimum Board Certification(s):BJH: Adult-Gerontology Primary Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP), Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP), Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP), Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)SLCH: Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Primary Care (CPNP-PC), Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Acute Care (CPNP-AC), or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Preferred Board Certification(s):SLCH: Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Acute Care (CPNP-AC)
