Additional Information About the Role

  • Mainly Women Assessment "OB Triage" and will Float to Antepartum and Postpartum as needed
  • Midnights 12 am to 8 am  Weekend Rotation Every Third 
  • Weekend weeks "two 8-hour shifts Sun-Thursday, and then 2 12-hours shifts  and Friday night and Saturday night 2000-0800".

  • L & D,  Postpartum, Women's Health or Clinic experience

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

This role works collaboratively in a multidisciplinary health team to provide comprehensive care to patients and families in an emergent or acute care setting. They demonstrate a high degree of clinical expertise for patients with acute or urgent illnesses commonly encountered within the emergency department or the BJH specialty urgent care setting. The role demonstrates an advanced level of clinical knowledge, interdisciplinary collaboration, professionalism, and 0systems-based practice. They work with nurses, physicians, med/surg trainees, and staff to assure safe, effective, quality patient care. The position requires coverage of evenings, nights, weekends, and/or holidays.Minimum Board Certification(s):BJH: Adult-Gerontology Primary Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP), Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP), or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) BJH Women’s Assessment Center: FNP or WHNPSLCH: Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Primary Care (CPNP-PC), Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Acute Care (CPNP-AC), or FNP Preferred Board Certification(s):BJH Women’s Assessment Center: WHNPSLCH: CPNP-AC

 

Responsibilities

  • Communicates and collaborates effectively with patients, families, physicians, medical/surgical trainees, and other health professionals.
  • Demonstrates the highest level of accountability for professional practice by participating in professional development, quality initiative/performance activities, and implementing standards of care within area of specialization.
  • Provides patient and family-centered, compassionate, appropriate, and effective care for managing and treating emergent or urgent health care encounters.
  • Responsible for assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, education, health promotion, and care coordination for patients and families with acute, emergent, or urgent specialty health needs.
  • BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
