Join Our Team as a Full-Time Clinical Home Infusion Pharmacist at BJC HealthCare Home Care Infusion Pharmacy (710 S Boyle Ave., St. Louis, MO).
We have just moved into a brand-new facility to design the most state of the art compounding facility in the system! If you are eager to grow your pharmacy career, we would love to hear from you.
Position Details:
- Day Shift: Mon-Fri (8:30am-5:00pm) with call rotation
- Weekend Call - every 3-4 weeks (depending on staffing); with average of 2-4 days each month during the week
What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams at hospitals and physician practices to offer recommendations and ensure optimal patient outcomes
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy
- 2 years or more experience
- Current MO Pharmacist License (RPh)
- Medication Therapy Services (MTS) – Have currently or able to obtain
Experience:
- 5 years of hospital pharmacy experience (highly preferred)
- Experience in one of the following areas: Home Infusion Pharmacist; Home Infusion Clinical Pharmacist; Admissions Home Infusion Pharmacist

Overview
BJC Home Care offers patients and their families a complete range of home care services, including skilled nursing services, adult and pediatric hospice and supportive care, rehabilitation therapy, home infusion therapy, infusion treatment rooms, home medical equipment and high-tech respiratory care. Specialty home care programs also are available, including adult and pediatric asthma, cardiac, diabetes, orthopedic and wound care programs.
BJC Home Care provides care to thousands of patients in both Missouri and Illinois. Serving more than 25 counties, it has become the largest home care network in the region and one of the largest in the country.
The Home Infusion Therapy Department of BJC Home Care Services works closely with physicians, patients and caregivers to enable patients to remain or return home while receiving intravenous medications. Our services include 24 hour on-call pharmacy and nursing services, comprehensive patient education materials, patient assessment and drug administration monitoring, and coordination of professional services including home care nursing and laboratory services.

Role Purpose
Assess, monitor, initiate and modify medication use according to patient condition and age specific criteria. Ensure prompt and accurate medication preparation and dispensing. Prevent, direct and resolve medication-related issues. Supervise and direct supportive personnel. Counsel and educate to promote optimal drug therapy. Direct and assist in the procurement, storage, distribution and disposal of medications.
