BJC HealthCare System is hiring a Full-Time Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) for Barnes-Jewish Hospital (St. Louis, MO) - BJH CDL South and BJH CDL CAM
$7,500 Sign on Bonus for eligible candidates!!!
Position Details:
- Day Shift Hours: 4 – 10 hour shifts per week (7am-5:30pm) with rotating days off
- Paid Saturday Rotation: approximately once a month 8 hr shift 0730-1600 with additional day off during week
- Closed on SUNDAYS and all major holidays!!!
- No after-hours call
- Performs transthoracic echocardiography exams for inpatient and outpatient
- GE equipment with newer GE E95 machines, PICOM Imaging/Reporting system, EPIC
- Echocardiographic imaging
- 3-D echocardiography, transplanted heart and lungs,
- Testing modalities will include transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress transthoracic echocardiography.

- Associate's Degree or Trade School equivalency

The Barnes-Jewish Hospital Cardiac Diagnostic Lab provides non-invasive diagnostic services to inpatient and outpatient populations in conjunction with our partners, Washington University Physicians. The department provides the following services to our patients: Transthoracic Echocardiograms (TTE), Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE), Stress Echocardiograms, Nuclear Stress Tests, Treadmill Exercise Stress Tests, Event and Holter Monitors and EKG Processing.

Role Purpose
The Cardiac Diagnostic Laboratory at Barnes-Jewish Hospital is partnered with Washington University School of Medicine to provide state-of-the art multi-modality echocardiographic imaging. The Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) performs ASE-guided, non-invasive cardiovascular testing in an IAC (Intersocietal Accreditation Commission) accredited lab to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac disease or injury, including advanced pathologies and anatomies (3-D echocardiography, transplanted heart and lungs, assist device placement and management, transcatheter valvular repair/replacement, congenital abnormalities and malformations, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, percutaneous placement of closure devices for patent foramen ovale and atrial septal defects, and research protocols). Performs testing in routine, non-routine urgent and emergent patient care situations. Testing modalities will include transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress transthoracic echocardiography.
