Description

• Specialty: Interventional Radiology / Cath Lab Technologist
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks or longer (through 02/27 end date)
• Total Hours Per Week: 40 weekly
• Shift Breakdown: 5x8 hrs
• Shift: Days
• Shift Hours: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
• Weekends: Every third weekend
• On Call: Required
• Call Requirements: Minimum of 7 call days per month, including one call weekend per month. Typical schedule includes two call days per week for two weeks each month. Additional call coverage may be required based on department needs. Callback time is 30 minutes for STEMI cases.
• Float Requirement: None
• Required Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience. Interventional Radiology experience is required and comprises approximately 90% of the workload.
• Traveler Experience: Not required
• Locals Accepted: Yes
• Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics
• Patient Diagnoses: Pacemaker (PPM) and Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) procedures
• Required Skills: Scrubbing, circulating, telemetry monitoring, and assisting providers during diagnostic and interventional radiology and cardiology procedures
• Preferred Skills: EKG lead placement
• Required Certifications/Licenses: ACLS, BCLS, ARRT or RCIS
• Preferred Certifications: ARRT Advanced Certification, RCES, or RCIS with medication experience
• Unit Details: Combined Interventional Radiology, Cardiology, Vascular, and EP Lab with approximately 80% IR volume and 20% other procedural cases
• Typical Procedures Performed: Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology procedures, Cardiology procedures, Vascular procedures, and Electrophysiology procedures
• Medication Administration: Performed by RN only
• Equipment: GE MAC Lab, Philips iFR/IVUS, Canon and GE Labs, AngioJet, Penumbra, EKOS, Inari, CSI Atherectomy System, Bovi Plasma Blade Cutter, Radiofrequency Ablation Unit, Venous Closure Unit, SonoSite, S2000 Ultrasound, IABP, and Impella
• Orientation: 40-80 hours
• Dress Code: Scrubs provided by the facility
