Description
• Total Hours Per Week: 36 weekly
• Shift Breakdown: 3x12 hrs
• Shift: Days
• Shift Hours: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
• Required Experience: Minimum 3 years of ICU experience with at least 1 year of CVICU experience; first-time travelers accepted if experience requirements are met
• Required Skills: Invasive line monitoring (Swan Ganz, arterial lines), pacemaker management (epicardial and transvenous), chest tubes, cardiac medications (inotropes, vasopressors, sedation/paralytics), ventilator and trach management, cardiac rhythm interpretation, EPIC experience; CV surgical experience including ECMO, CVVH, IABP, and VAD preferred
• Required Certifications/Licenses: BLS and ACLS Required; CCRN Preferred
• On-Call Requirements: None
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirements: 1–2 holidays per contract
• Floating Requirements: Not specified
• Facility Information: 933-bed Magnet-designated Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, and Comprehensive Stroke Center located in Milwaukee, WI
• Patient Population: Immediate post-op CABG, TAVR/TMVR, valve repairs/replacements, heart transplants, pacemakers, thoracic surgeries (esophagectomy, pneumonectomy, lobectomy), and vascular surgeries (AAA, TEVAR, carotid endarterectomy)
• Patient Ratios: RN 1:1-1:2 (up to 1:3 mixed acuity); Tech 1:8-10
• Technology/Equipment: EPIC EMR, Alaris pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, GE monitors
• Additional Information: Up to 7 days RTO may be approved. Schedule is created in 6-week blocks. Free parking available. Scrubs may be any solid professional color with no graphics, logos, or designs.
