Description

Specialty: EP - Cardiac Device Technologist
Start Date: ASAP
Setting: Outpatient cardiac device clinic
Shift: 5x8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday from 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; 40 hours per week
Weekends: None
On Call: None
Patient Population: Adults ages 18 and older with implanted cardiac monitoring and rhythm-management devices
Required Certification: BLS
Required Education/Experience: Completion of a pacemaker/ICD technician program or equivalent professional experience
Preferred Certifications: CCDS or CDRMS
Required Knowledge: Cardiac rhythm management, cardiovascular physiology, pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators, and implanted loop recorders
Primary Responsibilities: Independently perform the technical monitoring and management of implanted cardiac rhythm-management devices
Devices Managed: Pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators, and implanted loop recorder
