Description

• Specialty: Vascular Sonographer
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
• Schedule: 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
• Weekend Rotation: Required; rotating weekend shifts are 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• On Call: None
• Department: Inpatient and outpatient vascular clinic serving patients of all ages
• Average Daily Volume: Approximately 8–12 vascular studies per sonographer
• Required Experience: Minimum 2 years of dedicated vascular ultrasound experience
• Traveler Experience: First-time travelers accepted
• Certifications: BLS and either ARDMS-RVT or CCI-RVS
• State License: North Carolina licensure is not required
• Skills: Carotid, upper- and lower-extremity arterial and venous studies, DVT and reflux studies, vein mapping, renal and mesenteric studies, AAA and endograft evaluations, aortic studies, PVR/segmental pressures, hemodialysis grafts, iliac veins, and arterial bypass grafts
• Common Diagnoses: Peripheral vascular disease, coronary artery disease, heart failure, CVA, venous insufficiency, renal/celiac/SMA stenosis, renal transplant, and thoracic outlet syndrome
• Documentation System: EPIC experience required
• Technology/Equipment: VascuPro reporting system, Philips EPIQ Elite ultrasound systems, and Parks PVR/segmental-pressure equipment
• Department Support: Department leadership and fellow vascular sonographers
• Floating: May float to an affiliated outpatient vascular lab as needed
