Description

• Specialty: Electrophysiology Lab Technical Operations Manager
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
• Schedule: Monday–Friday; hours vary with daily workflow and the manager must arrive by 8:30 a.m.
• Extended Hours: May stay late approximately once per week to support evening staff and department operations
• Weekends: Occasional rounding on weekend staff
• Holiday Requirements: None
• Facility: 874-bed Level I Trauma Center, teaching hospital, Chest Pain Center, and Stroke Center
• Department Details: Four EP labs operating Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday; three EP labs operating Wednesday
• Position Breakdown: Approximately 90% administrative leadership and 10% clinical lab coverage
• Required Clinical Experience: Minimum 2 years of high-acuity EP lab experience
• Required Leadership Experience: At least 1 year as an assistant manager, manager, or director; EP leadership experience preferred, but management experience from another clinical department may be considered
• RN Certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Preferred Certification: RCES
• Procedures: Electrophysiology studies, PFA, radiofrequency and cryoablations, concomitant Watchman/atrial fibrillation procedures, cardioversions, loop recorder implants, and device or laser lead extractions
• Device Experience: Pacemakers, defibrillators, biventricular pacemakers and defibrillators, and leadless devices, including Micra and Aveir
• Leadership Responsibilities: Manage complex schedules and department workflow, coach and mentor supervisors, support recruiting and retention, oversee education, maintain personnel competency files, manage vendor partnerships, and perform data reporting, tracking, and interpretation
• Additional Skills: Strong communication, flexibility, conflict and personality management, physician relationship management, and the ability to assist with procedures when needed
• Direct Reports: Two department supervisors
• Department Support: Director, vendors, flow coordinator, charge nurses, VAD team, respiratory therapy, ECMO team, and Code Team
• Documentation System: EPIC
• Technology/Equipment: CardioLab hemodynamic system, Alaris pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, Philips monitoring and PACS, and Philips, GE, and Siemens imaging equipment
