Description

• Specialty: MRI Technologist
• Shift: Three 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week
• Schedule: Friday–Sunday, 6:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m.
• Weekends: Weekend-only position; works every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• On Call: None
• Department Details: MRI department serving emergency, inpatient, observation, and outpatient populations
• Average Daily Volume: Approximately 30–40 patients
• Required Experience: Minimum 1 year of MRI experience
• Required Certifications: BLS; ARRT(R) or NMTCB; and ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT
• State License: North Carolina licensure is not required
• Patient Population: Adult and pediatric patients, including patients requiring anesthesia and those with implanted medical devices
• Common Diagnoses: Neurological deficits, suspected acute stroke, seizures, prostate cancer, diabetic foot, pancreatic cysts, IBS, and Crohn’s disease
• Imaging Experience: General MRI, cardiac imaging, pediatric imaging with and without anesthesia, and imaging patients with medical devices
• Exp: Order verification, patient screening and preparation, medical-history review, IV contrast administration, image-quality evaluation, basic patient care, emergency response, and infection-control practices
• Documentation Systems: EPIC, Epic Radiant, and Philips iSite PACS
• Technology/Equipment: GE 1.5T SIGNA Artist 450W and Siemens 3T Skyra MRI scanners
