Travel Med/Surg RN – Ortho Trauma – Wilmington, NC | 4×12 Nights | 48 Hours/Week*
Nexus MedPro Staffing is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN with Ortho/Trauma experience for a travel assignment with a reputable hospital system in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Assignment Highlights
* Contract: 26 weeks
* Start: September 8, 2026
* Shift: 4×12 Nights, 6:45 PM–7:15 AM
* Hours: 48 hours/week
* Patient Ratio: 1:5–6
* Weekend: Every other weekend
* First-time travelers accepted
* Local candidates accepted
* Floating to similar Med/Surg units required
Requirements
* 2+ years of recent RN experience
* BLS
* Active RN license
* Epic documentation experience required
* Ortho/Neuro/Trauma experience
* Ortho trauma & traumatic brain injury care
* Heparin drips and PCA
* Chest tubes and surgical drains
* Central/PICC/peripheral line management
* Blood products, IV starts & phlebotomy
* Tracheostomy and wound/Wound Vac care
* Comfortable with 1:5–6 ratios
Preferred: ACLS, CVA, pre/post neurosurgery, spinal cord injury, dysrhythmia interpretation and pre/post hemodialysis experience.
Unit Focus
Care for adult patients with orthopedic trauma, severe bone/joint/soft-tissue injuries, traumatic brain and spine injuries, subdural hematomas, and general surgery overflow. The unit also manages external fixators, chest tubes, heparin drips, and central lines.
EKG testing must be passed prior to start.
Advertised weekly compensation may include taxable wages and applicable travel stipends for qualified travelers. Actual pay varies based on eligibility, scheduled hours, and final offer.

Nexus Medpro Staffing Job ID #3391530. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 48 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
