Description
Nexus MedPro Staffing is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week travel assignment with a reputable hospital system in Lubbock, Texas.
This day-shift opportunity is ideal for an OR nurse with strong Orthopedic, Mako Robotics, Total Joint, Gynecology, and Sports Medicine experience. First-time travelers are welcome.
Assignment Highlights
Pay: Up to $3,025/week*
Start: September 8, 2026
Contract: 13 weeks
Shift: 5×8 Days, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours/week
Patient Ratio: 1:1
Call: Required for weekday nights, weekends, and holidays
Weekend Call: Approximately once per month
Floating: Required based on unit needs
First-time travelers accepted
RTO: Up to 2 requests
48-hour schedules: Not available
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience
BLS
Epic experience required
Teaching hospital experience required
Ortho/Mako experience
Total Joint experience
Gynecology experience
Sports Medicine experience
General OR and Ambulatory OR experience
Strong sterile technique, infection control, and specimen handling skills
Key Surgical Experience
Experience should include procedures such as:
Mako robotic surgery
Total joint replacement
ACL reconstruction and arthroscopy
Ortho/Spine and spinal fusion
ALIF, cervical and lumbar fusion
Laminectomy/discectomy
Hysterectomy and laparoscopic GYN procedures
Appendectomy, cholecystectomy and hernia repair
Cystoscopy
Preferred: ACLS, previous charge experience, Hana Table, Steris and electrosurgical unit experience.
Up to $3,025/week in total compensation, including taxable wages and applicable stipends. Actual pay may vary based on eligibility and assignment details.
